Patient People are empathetic caretakers, more like Carol Brady than Peg Bundy. Like that Patient TV Mom, they’re good listeners and avoid confrontation.  Relationships and a sense of security are important to them.  You’ll want their calm, laid-back presence in a crisis, but if a change is a-comin’, they will likely be resistant or uncomfortable with it.

To communicate with patient, calm and methodical people:

Communicating effectively with everyone requires you to understand how others communicate out and how they wish others to communicate with them.  This will differ with different behavioral styles.

Most Assertive people will talk fast and directly.  When communicating with them:

It seems to hold true that there are 4 basic behavior styles of which everyone has some combination.   As we learn to identify and understand these behaviors, we will increase our ability to communicate, motivate and inspire; and isn’t that what makes great leaders great?

The four behaviors each have many names depending on the behavioral study or teachings.  Each name and system for determining behaviors may not be exactly the same, however, the four behaviors of each system have enough similarities to be addressed as one.
